Quality Assurance Engineer - Intern
About the role
PayMedia is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer - Intern to join their team in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The role involves learning about test automation, preparing testing documents, providing feedback, creating test plans, tracking issues, performing regression testing, and collaborating with developers and project managers. Candidates should have or be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and possess a basic understanding of software testing methodologies. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced fintech environment and contribute to both software and hardware testing.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), or currently pursuing a degree.
- Basic understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance principles.
- Familiarity with manual testing; exposure to automated testing tools is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, team-oriented environment.
- Proactive, self-driven, and eager to learn in a fast-paced tech setting.
Nice to have
- A portfolio or academic/personal projects demonstrating an interest in quality assurance is advantageous.
