Junior Web Developer
About the role
Brand Factory is seeking Junior Web Developers to join their team in Galle. The role involves building, launching, and maintaining client websites using AI-powered tools and modern web technologies. Candidates should have practical knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Next.js, as well as familiarity with AI tools like Claude or Codex. No prior professional experience is required, making this position suitable for fresh graduates and self-taught developers. The position is full-time and office-based in Galle. Must have
- Sound practical knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Next.js.
- Good understanding of layouts, typography and user experience.
- Ability to use Claude, Codex or ChatGPT with clear, structured prompts.
- Working knowledge of website content management.
- Out-of-the-box thinking and creative problem-solving.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and teamwork.
- No prior professional experience required.
- Fresh graduates and self-taught developers are welcome.
- Related experience is an added advantage.
Nice to have
- React, TypeScript or Payload CMS; knowledge of APIs, Git, DNS, hosting, deployment or SEO; personal, academic, freelance or professional web projects.
