Senior Software Engineer - Java/C++
About the role
This is a 6-month contract position for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Java and C++. The role involves designing and developing backend services for a large-scale distributed platform, ensuring the software is robust, scalable, and maintainable. The engineer will work closely with Product Architects, participate in code reviews, and follow Agile methodologies to ensure high-quality and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, experience with modern development tools and cloud technologies, and familiarity with AI-powered coding assistants. The company is seeking candidates who are passionate about building high-performance software solutions and can contribute effectively to a collaborative engineering team.
Must have
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in software design and development using Java.
- Experience with: Unit testing / Performance profiling / Execution and memory debugging / Standard Java libraries
- Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages.
- Hands-on experience with: Maven / CI/CD pipelines / Git / IDEs and development tools
- Experience with cloud technologies such as: Docker / Kubernetes (K8S) / AWS / GCP / PaaS platforms
- Familiarity with AI-powered coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Antigravity.
