About the role

Residue Solutions (Pvt) Ltd is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join their technology team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions, as well as providing technical guidance to other developers. The successful candidate will collaborate with product teams, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into reliable applications and contribute to architectural decisions throughout the software development lifecycle. The position requires hands-on experience with both backend and frontend technologies, strong knowledge of databases, and a solid understanding of software architecture and DevOps practices.

Must have

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least four years of professional software development experience.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
Hands-on experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, NestJS,
Express.js, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks.
Strong experience with React, Next.js, or another modern frontend framework.
Good knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
Good understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture.
Experience with Git, code reviews, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, and modern DevOps practices.
Strong understanding of application security, performance optimization, and scalable system design.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

Experience mentoring developers or leading technical projects is preferred.
