About the role

The Senior / Front-End Engineer – React.js/Next.js at iLabs will be responsible for coding in a full-stack environment, primarily using React.js, Next.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, and working with SPA architecture. The role involves designing and implementing product features, supporting live operations at scale, and leading a team to build scalable software for millions of users. The engineer will also leverage AI-powered tools to enhance productivity and code quality, participate in technical prioritization, and translate business requirements into technical solutions. The position is hybrid, based in Battaramulla, and requires working US hours and calendar. iLabs is a global software product engineering company with a focus on innovation and impactful solutions across various industries.

Must have

Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in the similar capacity with BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
Must work on US time and according to US Calendar
worked diligently coding in Java and Javascript
A creative and precise problem solver
Digital product/UX understanding
Strong Knowledge of Spring or other similar Interversion of control frameworks
Passionately worked on and driven large scale projects to completion
Experience working with Kong API Gateway configuration and LUA scripts
Sound knowledge in Next.js, React.js, Node.js
Practical experience in TypeScript / JavaScript
AWS S3, EC2, K8s containers, CloudFront
Knowledge of modern build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite, Turbopack).
Experience working in subscription and/or E-commerce companies
Passion for mentoring and coaching the members of your team.

Nice to have

Knowledge or experience in Java would be a strong added advantage.
GraphQL development experience
Kubernetes / Docker
Experience with cloud platforms like Netlify, Vercel or AWS is a plus.
