Quality Assurance Engineer
About the role
The Quality Assurance Engineer role involves ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software systems through comprehensive testing and defect identification. The position requires reviewing requirements, developing test plans, executing various types of testing (functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, API, and database), and collaborating with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues. The QA Engineer will also utilize AWS services, leverage AI-assisted testing tools, and develop automation scripts as needed. The role is with a client of Talent Studio and offers a hybrid work arrangement with a competitive salary.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of software QA processes, testing methodologies, and defect management.
- Proven experience in API testing, with a solid understanding of RESTful principles, HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON payloads.
- Hands-on experience with MySQL and writing SQL queries for database validation.
- Experience designing test plans for complex, distributed, or event-driven systems.
- Familiarity with AWS services and their application in software testing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Programming proficiency, preferably in TypeScript or Python.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in test automation and developing automated testing scripts.
- Previous experience testing insurance or financial systems.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted QA tools, including test case generation, anomaly detection, and intelligent test automation.
- Exposure to international client engagements.

Highlights
