AI Engineer (GTM)
About the role
H2O.ai is seeking an AI Engineer to join its go-to-market team in Sri Lanka. In this role, you will build AI tools, agents, and automations that support the team's daily operations and transform campaign workflows into scalable systems. You will work closely with leadership, scoping and delivering solutions rapidly, and use AI coding tools such as Claude Code as part of your daily workflow. Responsibilities include integrating systems like HubSpot and Salesforce, automating content and event processes, and ensuring data flows and reporting are accurate and actionable. The ideal candidate will have a background in software development, hands-on experience with AI agents or LLM tools, strong Python skills, and a production mindset. Must have
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1 to 3 years of software development, through work, internships, or serious projects.
- Agents, AI skills, MCP servers, or LLM tools you've built, on any platform.
- Clean, tested Python for scripts, APIs, data processing, and automation. JavaScript or TypeScript a plus.
- Branches, pull requests, code review, and CI (GitHub Actions) are how you already work.
- Daily use of Claude Code, Cursor, or similar, with the judgment to review their output.
- Hands-on with Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, or similar: prompting, tool use, and checking the output.
- SQL to query and transform data, and GA4 to measure site behavior and conversions.
- Error handling, logging, monitoring, API security, and tests in everything you deploy.
- Comfortable with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and the command line.
- Most collaborators are in US time zones, so much of the work happens in writing.
- You would rather automate a task than do it twice.
Nice to have
- Exposure to HubSpot, Salesforce, or other marketing and sales tools.
- Web development experience with React, Next.js, or a headless CMS.
- Interest in marketing, growth, and how B2B companies sell.
