Parttime Lecturer
About the role
The Parttime Lecturer at SecuSphere will be responsible for delivering practice-oriented instruction in cybersecurity topics to learners in an on-site setting in Maskeliya. The role involves planning and conducting lectures, workshops, and lab sessions, developing course materials and assessments, and adapting content for different learning levels. The Lecturer will guide students through practical exercises, provide feedback on assignments, and collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate current industry practices into the curriculum. Participation in academic meetings and supporting the continuous improvement of course offerings are also key aspects of the role. Candidates should have strong knowledge in cybersecurity fundamentals, instructional design skills, effective communication abilities, proficiency with digital teaching tools, relevant academic credentials, and a commitment to professional development.
Must have
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge in cybersecurity fundamentals, including threat analysis, risk management, data protection, and network security.
- Candidates should possess skills in designing and delivering instructional content, such as curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment creation.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, accessible language.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in using digital tools and learning platforms to support teaching, demonstrations, and student engagement.
- Relevant academic credentials in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; prior teaching or training experience is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and academic teams, demonstrate professional integrity, and support an inclusive, non-discriminatory learning environment.
- Up-to-date understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements, with a commitment to ongoing professional development in cybersecurity.
