About the role

The Senior Analyst will join a team focused on delivering quantitative, data-driven insights to clients by transforming complex company data into actionable analysis for business decision-making. The role involves cleaning, structuring, analyzing, and reporting on various datasets such as customer, product, revenue, and operational data. Key responsibilities include managing data workflows, identifying data inconsistencies, using accounting materials for analysis, and creating reusable Python scripts for data processing. The position requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience with Python and Excel, and the ability to generate and present insights to non-technical audiences.

Must have

3+ years’ experience in data, business, or finance analytics involving structured analysis and reporting.
Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field; master’s preferred.
Experience cleaning, transforming, and analyzing diverse datasets using Python and Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and validation techniques.
Exposure to foundational probability and statistics.
Exposure to accounting, transaction services, M&A support, and common diligence datasets such as trial balances, revenue, customer, product, financial, and operational data.
Familiarity with data rooms, data books, and transaction-related data request processes.
Able to work in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with strong analytical thinking, communication, attention to detail, documentation discipline, and commitment to quality.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to interpret data and translate findings into practical business insights.
Clear communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
Commercially minded, with sound business judgement.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Proactive, collaborative, and willing to learn.

Nice to have

Experience with Alteryx or similar workflow-based data preparation tools is preferred
