About the role
Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC is offering an IT Undergraduate Internship Programme designed for undergraduates interested in banking and technology. The programme provides structured, hands-on training on real banking systems, with guidance from experienced industry professionals. Interns can choose between roles such as Business Analyst or RPG/AS400 Developer, where they will engage in activities like gathering business requirements, preparing documentation, learning about banking operations, developing programs, and participating in testing and code reviews. Successful completion of the internship may lead to permanent employment at Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC or Orysys Limited, subject to a final evaluation.
Must have
- An undergraduate in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Management, Finance, Banking or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A genuine interest in banking and financial services.
- An undergraduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- In your final year of study, or awaiting final results.
- Sound programming fundamentals in any language, plus knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Strong logical thinking and a willingness to learn core banking technologies.
