Tech Lead - Full Stack
About the role
The Tech Lead - Full Stack will be responsible for governing and implementing the UI architecture of FusionX, a next-generation core banking solution with a Java Spring Boot backend and React JS frontend. This hands-on leadership role involves mentoring and growing a team of frontend developers, defining and enforcing frontend governance, owning the frontend architecture and technical roadmap, and contributing directly to both frontend and backend development. The role also requires ensuring security and compliance, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving testing and release management practices. Candidates should have significant experience in enterprise web application development, particularly with React JS and Java Spring Boot, and proven leadership in technical teams.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of hands-on software development experience, including significant experience building enterprise web applications with React JS.
- Proven experience in a lead or senior technical role, guiding and mentoring a development team (experience leading 8–10 or more developers is preferred).
- Demonstrated experience defining and implementing frontend standards, coding guidelines and governance practices that teams have adopted successfully.
- Solid hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot, including building and consuming RESTful APIs and an strong understanding of microservices architecture.
- Experience with frontend testing frameworks and tools
- Strong understanding of web application security and secure development practices.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work directly with engineers, designers and senior management.
Nice to have
- A Master's degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
- Professional certifications in software architecture, cloud, security or Agile delivery are a plus.
- Experience in core banking, financial services or fintech application development is a definite advantage.
