.NET Tech Lead (Azure & AI)
About the role
CNet Software Solutions is seeking a .NET Tech Lead to lead their development team in Sri Lanka. The role involves owning the technical direction of cloud products on Azure, driving AI and automation initiatives using Claude and Azure AI Foundry, and providing hands-on coding, code reviews, and team mentorship. Responsibilities include architectural leadership, Azure solution design, AI feature development, Python scripting for AI pipelines, database design and tuning, and close collaboration with the Australian leadership team. The company builds cloud software for industries such as glass fabrication and is expanding into New Zealand and the US, with a strong focus on integrating AI into their products.
Must have
- 5+ years of professional software development with C# and .NET (ASP.NET Core)
- Experience leading a team or acting as technical lead
- Strong hands-on Azure experience, including Azure Storage
- Practical experience building with LLMs: the Claude API, Azure AI Foundry or similar
- Working knowledge of Python
- Solid SQL Server and PostgreSQL skills (schema design, queries, performance)
- Clear written and spoken English for working with an Australian team

- Experience with prompt design, tool use / function calling, or RAG
- Background in Glass manufacturing, inventory or business software
- GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps pipelines
