About the role
The SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated tests for ISA’s Reservation System, Flight Operations, Cargo, and supporting services. The role involves creating and maintaining test scripts across UI, API, and data layers, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring quality gates are met for squad releases. The SDET collaborates closely with developers and product owners, supports release activities, and contributes to continuous improvement of test frameworks and processes. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, proficiency in a programming language used for automation, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, and 2-4 years of hands-on experience in automated testing.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Proficient in one programming language used for automation (Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Familiar with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions).
- Solid understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, and relational databases.
- Fluent in English Language.
- Able to analyze test failures and distinguish real defects from environmental issues.
- Exposure to version control (Git) and code review practices.
- Understands agile ceremonies and contributes effectively within a squad.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
- Demonstrates ownership of assigned work and follows through on commitments.
- With 2-4 years of hands-on experience building automated tests for web, API, or mobile applications. Exposure to CI/CD and agile delivery is preferred.
- Working knowledge of at least one automation framework (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, or equivalent).
