Senior DevOps Engineer
About the role
The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, testing, and deployment processes. The role involves managing automation scripts, supporting containerization and orchestration platforms, integrating middleware platforms, and implementing system monitoring and logging frameworks. The engineer will troubleshoot platform and deployment issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to technical documentation, mentor junior engineers, and promote continuous improvement and adoption of emerging technologies. The position is with SLTMobitel and requires a strong background in DevOps engineering, automation, and platform integration.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, middleware platforms or infrastructure automation.
- Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, container platforms and automation frameworks.
- Hands on experience with containerization and orchestration platforms.
- Strong skills in scripting and automation (Shell, Bash, or similar) and infrastructure as code practices.
- Knowledge of middleware platforms, Enterprise Java application server platforms, API gateways and microservices integration.
- Expertise in system monitoring, logging and alerting frameworks to ensure stability and performance.
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, load balancing).
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication and mentoring skills with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Nice to have
- Professional certifications preferred: RHCSA, RHCE, CKA, Ansible/Terraform and Cloud platforms.
- Experience in Platform Engineering, GitOps and Kubernetes Security will be an added advantage.
