Data Scientist
About the role
The Data Scientist role involves analyzing large and complex datasets to uncover actionable business insights and opportunities. The position requires developing and implementing statistical, machine learning, and AI models from proof of concept to production using Python, R, or similar technologies. Key responsibilities include conducting exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, feature engineering, and statistical analysis, as well as monitoring and optimizing model performance. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, presenting findings to stakeholders, maintaining technical documentation, and working with MLOps/DevOps teams to deploy and maintain models in production environments. Candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree and at least one year of experience in data science or a related field, with strong analytical, data visualization, and communication skills.
Must have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ year of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Machine Learning techniques and algorithms.
- Hands-on experience with Python, R, or equivalent data science toolkits.
- Strong data visualization, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience working with data engineering environments such as Data Warehouses, Big Data platforms, and Cloud Storage.
- Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear business insights.
- A continuous learner who actively keeps up with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
