Data Governance Lead - 2 year contract
About the role
The Data Governance Lead will be responsible for establishing and driving effective data governance practices over a two-year, part-time contract. The role focuses on ensuring trusted master data, clear ownership, and strong data quality management. Key responsibilities include developing governance operating models, defining roles and workflows, managing data registers, developing data quality KPIs, and facilitating governance forums. The position requires at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong English communication skills, and the ability to translate governance principles into business processes. The role is hybrid, with work scheduled Monday to Friday for 4 hours each day.
Must have
- 5+ years of experience in Data Governance or MDM Governance.
- Strong knowledge of Data Owner and Data Steward operating models.
- Experience in stewardship workflows, survivorship rules, and data quality KPI frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate governance principles into practical business processes.
Nice to have
- Experience with Profisee, Microsoft Purview, data catalogs, and global or regional governance programmes.
