Senior Project Manager
About the role
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-vendor technology projects within a banking environment. The role involves managing all phases of project delivery from initiation through production go-live, stabilization, and handover to support. Key responsibilities include project planning, execution, monitoring, closure, managing dependencies across teams and vendors, coordinating various testing phases, leading production cutovers, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. The position also requires managing budgets, financial tracking, and acting as the main delivery contact for stakeholders. The candidate will mentor junior project managers and contribute to PMO best practices. Applicants should have significant IT delivery experience, relevant certifications, and strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of IT delivery experience, including 4+ years managing projects end-to-end
- Proven experience delivering at least two large or complex technology projects through production go-live
- PMP, CSM, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent certification
- Strong experience managing multi-vendor technology projects and third-party contracts
- Hands-on experience with SIT, UAT, regression, performance, and security testing
- Working knowledge of Waterfall and Agile/hybrid delivery methodologies
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, governance, and leadership skills
Nice to have
- Experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry
- Experience with core banking, digital channels, integration, or infrastructure projects
- Experience working in a client-facing IT services or consulting environment
- Experience with platforms such as Finacle, Oracle, or similar enterprise technologies
