Engineering Project Manager
About the role
Illukkumbura Industrial Automation (Pvt) Ltd. is seeking a full-time Engineering Project Manager to oversee electrical infrastructure projects in Sri Lanka and overseas. The role involves planning, organizing, and managing projects from initiation to completion, including coordinating engineering activities, supervising construction and installation, managing schedules, budgets, and resources, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Project Manager will also collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, and clients, prepare reports, resolve issues, monitor risks and quality, support tender preparation, and contribute to process improvement.
Must have
- Candidates should possess skills in Engineering Management and Project Engineering to oversee technical design, implementation, and coordination of electrical and automation projects.
- Candidates should possess skills in Project Management to plan, schedule, budget, and control project scope, resources, and timelines.
- Candidates should possess skills in Construction Management and Construction to supervise site activities, ensure safety and quality, and manage contractors and suppliers.
- Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience managing medium to large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects, preferably in electrical engineering or automation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and quality standards.
- Effective communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with project management tools and software; professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are an advantage.
- Understanding of applicable regulations, safety standards, and international engineering practices relevant to industrial and electrical projects.

Highlights
