Teach Lead - Machine Learning (ML)
About the role
The Tech Lead - Machine Learning (ML) will support the bank’s AI and Data Science initiatives by leading ML system design and architecture, mentoring the ML team, overseeing model development and deployment, and ensuring high engineering standards. Key responsibilities include designing scalable ML systems, providing technical leadership, managing the end-to-end ML model lifecycle, and maintaining best practices in coding, testing, and reproducibility. The role requires a strong background in ML, experience in large-scale applications, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
- 6+ years of work experience in a hands-on ML-related role.
- Previous roles: Tech Lead – ML, Senior Tech Lead – ML, or similar technical lead role.
- Experience in the finance domain is an added advantage.
- Project experience in large-scale applications, legacy system support, ML model monitoring and governance, and IT modernization within an enterprise environment.

- DevOps/Infra: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
- Data Engineering: Spark, Kafka, SQL, BigQuery, Snowflake
- ML/AI Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure, internal DC platform
- Governance: Model cards, XAI tools, differential privacy
- AI & DS Technical Architect Skills
- Ability to fit into the Combank organization & IT culture.
- Curiosity and ability to learn new areas quickly.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Ability to guide a team, provide mentorship, and foster collaboration.
- Project Management Skills: Experience in senior engineering roles, managing timelines, estimating tasks, and stakeholder communication.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between technical teams and business/product stakeholders, translating requirements into technical solutions.
