AI Engineer Intern
About the role
Codeplus Global is seeking an AI Engineer Intern to join their engineering team and contribute to real-world AI applications. The role involves building and prototyping AI-powered features using Python, developing applications with Large Language Models and AI APIs, working with retrieval pipelines, embeddings, and vector search, and preparing datasets for AI systems. The intern will also experiment with prompting, evaluate AI outputs, assist in developing RAG and LLM-based applications, and collaborate with engineers on internal and client projects. The position offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to modern AI technologies in a remote-friendly environment.
Must have
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Good understanding of Python programming
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts
- Interest in Large Language Models and Generative AI
- Ability to read technical documentation and learn independently
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication
- Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
- Willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned work
Nice to have
- Experience with LLM applications or AI APIs
- Familiarity with RAG, embeddings, or vector databases
- Experience with LangChain or similar AI frameworks
- Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn
- Experience with Git and GitHub
- Experience building AI/ML projects through university or personal work
- Knowledge of NLP, information retrieval, or Machine Learning
- Previous AI research, internship, or substantial personal project experience
