Full Stack Developer - Senior (More than 6+ years exp)
About the role
NEXTSHORE is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer for a long-term offshore role supporting Australian technology, product, and digital teams. The position involves building, maintaining, and scaling web applications and digital products as part of onshore engineering teams. Responsibilities span frontend and backend development, integration, DevOps, code quality, and stakeholder engagement. The role offers exposure to modern tech stacks and cloud-native architectures, working on diverse projects for Australian startups and enterprises. Candidates will collaborate closely with Australian product managers, tech leads, and development teams, delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 3–6 years' experience in fullstack development or software engineering
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular)
- Solid backend development experience with Node.js, Python, Ruby, or .NET
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis)
- Understanding of RESTful API design principles and GraphQL
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience supporting Australian companies or working in offshore development teams
- Knowledge of modern DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Pytest, RSpec)
- Understanding of web security best practices (OWASP, XSS, CSRF, SQL injection)
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Contributions to open-source projects or active GitHub profile
- Knowledge of serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions)
