Intern System Support Engineer
About the role
Medcube USA is seeking an Intern System Support Engineer to join their IT infrastructure team. This internship offers practical experience in IT support, Windows systems, networking, servers, virtualization, and cloud technologies, working alongside experienced IT professionals. The role involves assisting with Windows operating systems, Active Directory, network troubleshooting, system maintenance, and supporting senior engineers in various IT infrastructure projects. Candidates should be pursuing or have recently completed a diploma or bachelor's degree in a related field and have a strong interest in IT infrastructure and system support. The position provides mentorship, hands-on experience, and opportunities for career development in system engineering, cloud engineering, or DevOps.
Must have
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in learning IT infrastructure and system administration.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and IT procedures.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to document technical issues and solutions.
- Responsible and positive attitude.
- Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server.
- Basic understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP and computer networking.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of virtualization concepts such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Basic understanding of databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.
- Basic understanding of IT security and access management.
Nice to have
- Relevant IT certifications or training is an advantage.
- Practical experience with Windows, networking, or computer hardware is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure is an advantage.
- Basic PowerShell or scripting knowledge is an advantage.
