QA Engineer
About the role
Akvasoft is seeking a QA Engineer to join their team building production software for SaaS startups and scaleups. In this role, you will be responsible for owning the quality of the products you work on, from early development through to production. Key responsibilities include writing and maintaining automated tests (end-to-end, API, regression), performing manual testing where necessary, and collaborating directly with founders and engineers to identify and resolve issues before they reach customers. The position requires experience testing web applications, automation skills with tools like Playwright or Cypress, strong communication abilities, and a proactive approach to quality assurance. Akvasoft offers a dynamic environment with small teams and real ownership over your work.
Must have
- Experience testing web applications
- Automation with Playwright, Cypress or similar
- Good communication with non technical stakeholders
- Comfortable reading code, filing clear bugs, and pushing back when something is not ready
- You finish what you start and do not wait for a full spec
