Lead/Senior Lead Software Engineer - Agentic AI Engineering
About the role
IFS is seeking a Lead/Senior Lead Software Engineer specializing in Agentic AI Engineering to join their Sustainability Application team. The role involves end-to-end ownership of product capabilities, including design, development, testing, deployment, and ensuring operational reliability of sustainability solutions for asset-intensive organizations. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade solutions, leveraging modern engineering practices and intelligent automation. The position requires strong hands-on experience with Go, Kafka/Redpanda, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kubernetes, and agentic AI development tools, as well as a degree in a relevant field and at least 6 years of experience. Must have
- Strong hands-on experience with Go.
- Experience with Kafka / Redpanda.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Experience building and operating microservices-based systems on Kubernetes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in agentic AI development using tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with agentic AI workflows, including orchestrating LLMs and AI agents to deliver enterprise-grade applications.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology along with a minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills along with an innovative mindset.
Nice to have
- Experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD); exposure to methodologies such as BMAD is considered beneficial.
- Frontend development experience with React would be beneficial.
