Senior Network Security Engineer
About the role
The Senior Network Security Engineer will be responsible for supporting global network automation operations, focusing on network security and troubleshooting complex network environments. Key responsibilities include working with routing protocols, switching networks, network security technologies, firewalls, cloud security, VPNs, MPLS, and multi-vendor architectures. The role requires strong engineering troubleshooting skills, familiarity with packet captures, logging, and monitoring tools, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. The position is based on an annually renewable contract and involves working hours aligned with UK time zones, with occasional US shifts. Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Telecommunications, Computer Systems and Networking or Information Technology from a reputed University.
- 4-7 years of related experience, CCIE preferred or minimum CCNP or an equivalent professional qualification
- Strong operating and fundamental understanding of Routing Protocols, Switching Networks & hands on operating ability to troubleshoot complex networks.
- Strong operational and fundamental understanding of network security technologies including Next-gen firewall solutions, cloud security solutions, SASE & SD-WAN preferably with multivendor solutions
- Knowledge of Layer-2 and -3 VPNs and MPLS applications
- Knowledge of multi-vendor Networks architectures
- Understanding of Packet Captures and Logging information for advanced troubleshooting
- Must be familiar navigating monitoring tools (interpreting alerts, correlating alerts, analyzing historical data to understand/communicate trends, ad-hoc reporting, etc.)
- Excellent engineering troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Scripting or exposure to any network automation tools is a value add.
