Senior EDI Engineer
About the role
The Senior EDI Engineer at EFL Global will be responsible for end-to-end EDI development, maintenance, and production troubleshooting across multiple data formats. The role involves conducting root cause analysis, implementing permanent fixes, and leveraging AI coding tools to accelerate engineering processes, automate mapping and testing, and develop reusable internal tools. The position also includes providing technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing, as well as driving continuous improvement in CI/CD, automated testing, release management, monitoring, and engineering practices. EFL Global is a leading supply chain and logistics solutions provider operating in 39 countries, offering a range of services to support global customers.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related engineering field.
- Deep working knowledge of at least one major EDI standard (EDIFACT or ANSI X12) — you can read a raw message and explain what is wrong with it.
- Strong in one backend language (Python / Java / Node.js / C#) and in SQL. Hands-on with transport protocols and integration patterns: AS2, SFTP, REST APIs, and message queues.
