Executive - Demand Planning and Inventory Control
About the role
ProActiveChain is seeking an Executive - Demand Planning and Inventory Control to focus on forecasting demand and planning inventory for global e-commerce brands across platforms such as Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, BOL, and Walmart. The role involves analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and ensuring optimal stock levels to prevent stockouts or excess inventory. The position also includes collaborating with developers to help automate planning processes and transition from Excel-based workflows to an in-house system. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency, and experience in demand planning, preferably within e-commerce or retail. Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management / Statistics or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in demand planning / forecasting, ideally in e-commerce or retail.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong communicator who can work across teams, manage multiple client accounts, and coordinate with an external development team.
- Comfortable explaining planning logic to non-planning people (developers) and translating their questions back to the team.
- Detail-oriented, and driven by ownership and accountability.
- Prior experience working with or helping build a system (ERP, planning tool, or custom-built platform) - ideally on the “giving requirements to developers” side.
- Most importantly: someone who’s open to discussing improvements, experimenting with ideas, and adding value beyond the job description.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, ERP systems, or inventory tools is a plus.
