About the role
This role is for a Product Manager specializing in POS (Point of Sale) solutions at a leading organization. The position is responsible for driving the commercial performance of the POS product, including developing and executing sales and revenue plans, generating direct sales opportunities, managing the full sales cycle, and establishing partnerships with hardware providers and resellers. The Product Manager will also analyze market trends, recommend product improvements, and maintain strong customer and partner relationships. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the POS industry, strong knowledge of POS software and hardware, and the ability to independently generate business opportunities and close sales.
Must have
- Proven experience in the POS industry, with a successful track record in POS sales, business development, c channel sales or commercial product management.
- Demonstrated ability to independently generate business opportunities, negotiate commercial terms and close sales.
- Strong knowledge of POS software, hardware and their application in business operations.
- Experience in establishing and managing relationships with POS hardware providers, distributors or resellers.
- Ability to assess market opportunities and translate customer needs into practical commercial recommendations.
- Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strong proficiency in English and Sinhala Tamil proficiency will be an added advantage.
- A self-driven, commercially focused approach with accountability for results.
Nice to have
- Experience with restaurant POS solutions and an understanding of restaurant workflows will be an advantage.
- An established customer base or professional network within the POS industry will be an advantage.
