Intern - Global IT Infrastructure & Information Security
About the role
The Intern - Global IT Infrastructure & Information Security role at EFL involves supporting the Infrastructure and Information Security team in providing technical and infrastructure support for global enterprise applications, including ERP and Microsoft O365. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving Level 1 IT issues, supporting O365 product categories, assisting with Windows endpoint configuration, managing user security access for applications, monitoring Microsoft Azure Infra security dashboards, and collaborating with senior engineers on new implementations. The position is based at the company headquarters in Colombo and is designed for students currently pursuing relevant IT or cybersecurity qualifications.
Must have
- Currently pursuing a degree or higher diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Networking, or a related discipline.
- Foundational understanding of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, networking concepts, cloud services, and cybersecurity principles.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and identity concepts; exposure to Azure or Microsoft Entra is an advantage.
- Holding or pursuing professional qualifications such as Microsoft Certifications or cybersecurity credentials is an added advantage.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines, work under pressure and collaborate as a good team player.
