AI Solutions Lead
About the role
Apex AI, a subsidiary of Roar Global, is seeking a commercially driven AI Solutions Lead to establish and grow its presence in Sri Lanka. This role is primarily focused on sales and business development, engaging with business leaders to identify opportunities where AI, automation, or custom technology can add value. The position involves managing the client journey from prospecting to closing deals, working closely with technical teams to scope solutions, and maintaining strong client relationships post-sale. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B technology sales, strong business development skills, and the ability to discuss AI and technology confidently with clients. Must have
- Experience in B2B technology sales, such as SaaS, software, AI solutions or digital transformation
- A track record of building relationships and selling to business owners and senior decision-makers
- Strong business development skills across prospecting, discovery, pitching, negotiation and closing
- A consultative approach: you understand the business problem before recommending a solution
- Enough technical understanding to discuss AI, software, automation and business technology with confidence
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to spot genuine opportunities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Self-driven and comfortable building a market, creating your own opportunities rather than waiting for inbound leads
- Genuine interest in AI and a willingness to keep learning as it evolves
Nice to have
- A plus: experience leading AI or software projects for clients from scoping through to handover, a background in tech, analytics or performance marketing, or time in a high-growth environment
