AI Engineer Intern
About the role
Axio360 Ventures is seeking an AI Engineer Intern to join their remote team. This internship is designed for students, recent graduates, or self-taught developers who have built AI-powered applications, full-stack projects, or working prototypes and can explain their technical decisions. The role involves contributing to AI-powered web applications, LLM-based systems, conversational AI, backend APIs, RAG systems, and full-stack product development. Candidates are evaluated primarily on their practical engineering ability, technical understanding, and the quality of their portfolio projects, rather than years of experience or a long list of technologies. Must have
- Strong programming fundamentals in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience building software projects independently or through university, internships, or personal projects
- Experience developing full-stack applications, backend services, or APIs
- Practical experience working with LLMs or AI APIs
- Understanding of how AI applications interact with databases, APIs, and external data sources
- Experience or interest in building AI assistants, conversational systems, or chat applications
- Exposure to AI agents, multi-agent systems, agent orchestration, or tool calling
- Understanding of SQL, databases, and data modelling
- Ability to explain the architecture, implementation, and technical decisions behind your projects
- Curiosity, initiative, and the ability to learn new technologies independently

- Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Experience with embeddings and vector databases
- Experience with React or Next.js
