Lead Devops Engineer
About the role
The Lead Devops Engineer Azure role is responsible for building and managing scalable, secure, automated, and highly reliable cloud platforms on Azure. The position involves developing reusable automation, libraries, and templates using C# and Python, implementing DevSecOps practices, establishing and improving SRE practices, and driving cloud cost optimization. The engineer will collaborate with engineering teams to resolve incidents and ensure reliable platform operations. The company is seeking candidates with strong hands-on experience in Azure, Kubernetes, and related DevOps tools and practices.
Must have
- 2+ years of enterprise Azure experience – Mandatory
- Strong hands-on experience with AKS, Azure Container Apps, VNets, ACR, Key Vault, Entra ID, Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud and Azure Monitor
- Strong Kubernetes experience including Helm, RBAC, network policies, deployments and StatefulSets
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Crossplane
- Strong knowledge of ArgoCD, Azure DevOps YAML pipelines and GitOps
- Proficiency in Azure CLI, PowerShell, Bash, kubectl, Helm, Terraform, Git and Docker
- Experience with Snyk, SonarQube, workload identity and container image security
- Knowledge of Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB and secure private connectivity
Nice to have
- Exposure to Backstage, .NET and/or Python is an added advantage
