SEO intern
About the role
The SEO Intern at Rank Edge will assist the digital marketing team with various search engine optimization tasks for client projects. Responsibilities include conducting keyword research, supporting on-page optimization, monitoring website performance and rankings, and preparing basic SEO reports. The intern may also help with content optimization, competitor analysis, and link-building outreach under supervision. This internship is based in Nugegoda, Sri Lanka, and offers a hybrid work arrangement, providing hands-on training and exposure to agency workflows and client-facing projects.
Must have
- Foundational understanding of SEO principles, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and basic analytics.
- Ability to use common digital tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and spreadsheet or reporting tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to follow structured processes.
- Interest in digital marketing, including social media, content creation, and paid advertising concepts.
- Currently studying or recently completed a qualification in Marketing, IT, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment from Nugegoda, manage time effectively, and collaborate with a diverse team.
- Analytical mindset, willingness to learn quickly, and openness to feedback and mentoring.
