Lead – Business Intelligence & Analytics
About the role
Surge Global is seeking a Business Intelligence & Analytics Lead to drive the design, development, and evolution of the organization's enterprise BI and analytics capabilities. The role involves leading the creation of scalable and governed analytics ecosystems, developing enterprise BI, management reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions, and unlocking untapped data assets to generate actionable business insights. The position supports strategic business initiatives, performance management, customer intelligence, advanced analytics, and ensures alignment with data governance and technology roadmaps. The company is a leading digital consultancy based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, serving clients globally and fostering a culture of transparency and innovation.
Must have
- Master’s Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics & Mathematics, Business Intelligence or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of work experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Management Information Systems or related fields.
Nice to have
- Professional certification in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Science, Cloud Analytics, Power BI, Tableau or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Experience in leading or mentoring BI & Analytics teams, enterprise BI initiatives, analytics programmes or large-scale data-driven transformation projects will be an added advantage.
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience in identifying data-driven opportunities and converting data into actionable business insights and measurable business value will be an added advantage.
