Senior Product Engineer
About the role
Bconic is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join their nimble SaaS team focused on advertising, marketing, and data intelligence. The role involves working with large-scale data ingestion from third-party platforms, ensuring data integrity, and building resilient integrations. Engineers at Bconic use agentic coding tools daily and are expected to contribute to architectural decisions, improve codebase legibility, and shape engineering practices. The stack includes TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Node/Express, GO, Rust, React, Redis, Kafka, DuckDB, and AWS/DigitalOcean. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with the CTO and have a visible impact on the product and team processes.
Must have
- You've owned production systems and can explain the tradeoffs behind your decisions, including the ones you'd make differently now.
- You use coding agents heavily and have strong opinions about where they fail.
- You read code critically, and plausible-looking code makes you more suspicious, not less.
- You care about data modeling and know that a bad schema outlives every other mistake.
- You'd rather delete a feature than maintain a bad one.
Nice to have
- Experience with marketing tech, ad platforms, or analytics is a real advantage, because domain judgment is exceptionally valuable.

Highlights
The role is full-time (40 hours/week) and can be remote or hybrid, with working hours aligned to IST (Sri Lanka) or EST (Canada/US).
