AI Engineer / Senior AI Engineer
About the role
As an AI Engineer or Senior AI Engineer on the Xitricon AI Platform Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying AI components that power enterprise AI platforms and domain-specific AI assistants. The role involves working with large language models (LLMs), developing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, integrating AI with enterprise systems, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of AI solutions. You will collaborate with platform architects and security teams, and support deployments across cloud and on-premises environments. The position requires strong programming skills in Python, hands-on experience with LLMs, and familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks and cloud platforms. Must have
- Strong programming skills in Python (mandatory).
- Hands-on experience with LLMs such as Gemini, Azure OpenAI, and open-source models.
- Experience implementing RAG architecture, vector databases, and embeddings.
- Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks like LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar tools.
- Experience working with APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerized deployments.
- Basic understanding of MLOps / DevOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring, and versioning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, data science, or AI engineering roles.
- Strong engineering fundamentals with applied AI experience.
- Curiosity to learn and adapt to a fast-evolving AI landscape.
- Clear communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

- Experience with conversational AI platforms.
- Knowledge of data privacy, security, or compliance considerations in AI systems.
