Engineering Project Manager (m/f/d)
About the role
The Engineering Project Manager at Variosystems will oversee multiple parallel hardware engineering design projects, including PCB and mechanical projects, ensuring timely progress and early identification of risks. The role involves coordinating between design engineers, manufacturing, procurement, and stakeholders, managing project schedules and milestones in JIRA, and handling prototype builds and RFQ processes. The Project Manager will also be responsible for maintaining project documentation, deriving Statements of Work, and supporting go-to-market strategies for engineering services. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, hands-on experience with JIRA, and the ability to lead technical discussions with customers. Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA for project management.
- Comfortable leading technical conversations directly with customers.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage several concurrent projects without losing track of details.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of PCB design and mechanical design workflows (e.g., Altium, KiCad, SolidWorks) sufficient to engage credibly with design engineers.
- Experience managing global customers or cross-border supplier relationships.
- Experience running or supporting RFQ processes with suppliers or contract manufacturers.
