Senior IFS Finance Functional Consultant
About the role
The Senior IFS Finance Functional Consultant will lead finance workstreams in IFS implementations, upgrades, and support projects. Responsibilities include running workshops with finance stakeholders, documenting business requirements, designing and configuring IFS Finance processes, and ensuring solutions align with customer needs and IFS standards. The role involves advising on finance integration with other business processes, coordinating with technical teams, overseeing finance testing, supporting customers through go-live and post-implementation, and contributing to internal knowledge and training. Candidates should have significant hands-on IFS Finance experience, strong functional expertise, and the ability to lead solution design and customer discussions.
Must have
- At least 6 years of hands-on IFS Finance experience, with typically 8–12+ years of overall ERP or finance systems experience.
- Experience delivering 2–3 end-to-end IFS Finance implementations, in addition to upgrade or support project experience.
- Strong functional expertise in IFS Finance and its integration with Projects, Maintenance, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain.
- Ability to lead requirements gathering, solution design, configuration decisions, and customer discussions with limited supervision.
- Experience with IFS Applications and/or IFS Cloud.
- Strong understanding of finance operations, controls, reconciliations, and the implications of system changes on financial reporting.
- Excellent client communication, analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- A degree or professional qualification in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline.
- Willingness to travel for customer engagements and to work effectively with distributed project teams.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Aurena is an advantage.
- Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant qualification is an advantage.
