About the role
The Senior Lead Engineer - IBM i will oversee the administration, performance monitoring, and optimization of IBM i systems, ensuring resilience and high availability. The role involves driving the adoption of AI technologies, staying current with emerging LLM and AIOps trends, and modernizing data center operations. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, incident management, participating in system upgrades and migrations, managing vulnerability assessments, enforcing IBM i security hardening, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards. Applicants should have a relevant bachelor's degree, at least 5 years of data center operations experience, proficiency with AIOps tools, and strong communication and organizational skills.
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology or related field from a UGC approved university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data center operations.
- Proficiency with AIOps tools and platforms is required.
- Sound communication, interpersonal skills and organizational skills including attention to details.
Nice to have
- Experience in IBMi (AS/400) administration/operation is advantageous.
