Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
About the role
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at EFL Global will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the company's supply chain software platform. This includes designing and executing both manual and automated test strategies for Web APIs and Web Applications, improving test coverage, and setting test standards. The role involves using AI tools to enhance testing capabilities and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Frontend, Backend, and Product Management. The position is full-time and based on-site in Colombo, offering opportunities for professional growth and cross-border collaboration within a global logistics company.
Must have
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Management or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in QA / test automation.
- Strong JavaScript / TypeScript skills.
- Solid manual testing skills, including test case design and execution.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright.
- Experience testing Web APIs and Web Applications, and working knowledge of SQL for data validation.
- Sharp diagnostic skills: you can tell a real product defect from a flaky test or false positive and explain why.
- Experience of owning test strategy for features or projects.
- A track record of using AI tools to change how you test. At interview, we will ask you to walk through one example: what you built, what the tool got wrong and how you caught it.
