Lecturer- Fulltime (Computer Networking/ Cyber Security)
About the role
ATN Campus is seeking a full-time Lecturer in Computer Networking and Cyber Security for its Colombo campus. The role involves designing and delivering lectures, tutorials, and lab sessions for networking and cyber security programs, preparing lesson plans and assessments, supervising practical labs, and mentoring students. The Lecturer will also support students in preparing for industry certifications, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in departmental activities and academic events. Candidates should have strong expertise in computer networking and applied knowledge in cyber security, a relevant degree, and experience in teaching or technical training. The institution offers a dynamic, future-focused academic environment with a focus on practical, skill-based learning and international certifications.
Must have
- Strong expertise in Computer Networking (e.g., routing and switching, network design, network administration, TCP/IP, wireless and cloud networking).
- Applied knowledge in Cyber Security (e.g., network security, ethical hacking, security monitoring, threat analysis, incident response, and security best practices).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Network Engineering, or a closely related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+/Security+, CEH, CISSP, or similar) or willingness to obtain them within a defined timeframe.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching, training, or delivering technical content in higher education, vocational training, or industry settings.
- Ability to design outcome-based curricula, assessments, and lab activities that align with industry standards and awarding body requirements.
- Proficiency with learning technologies and tools (e.g., LMS platforms, virtual labs, network simulators such as Packet Tracer/GNS3, and online collaboration tools).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts
