Executive - Information Technology
About the role
Melsta Hospitals is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Executive - Information Technology to provide reliable technology support across its hospital operations. The role involves delivering first-level IT support to hospital staff, resolving hardware, software, network, and system issues, coordinating with vendors, managing user accounts, maintaining IT documentation, and supporting IT infrastructure. The position also requires assisting with IT system implementations, ensuring security and confidentiality, and working on a roster basis to meet operational requirements. The hospital is a fully fledged multi-specialty general health care facility located in Ragama, Sri Lanka.
Must have
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Hardware & Networking, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of IT hardware, networking, operating systems, databases, and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and high-pressure hospital environment.
- Willingness to work on a roster basis.
Nice to have
- Diploma or certification in Database Management / SQL / MySQL / Oracle will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare environment will be an added advantage.
