Quality Assurance Automation Engineer
About the role
Sabio Connect is seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for ensuring the reliability and performance of software products. The role involves analyzing requirements, creating and executing test cases, performing both manual and automated testing, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with developers and product teams to enhance software quality. The position also includes refining testing processes, contributing to test plans, and participating in review sessions to improve overall QA standards. This is a contract, hybrid role based in Colombo, offering a mix of on-site and work-from-home flexibility. Candidates should have strong QA and software testing skills, experience with Playwright, and proficiency in both manual and automated testing.
Must have
- Candidates should possess strong Quality Assurance and Software Testing skills, including understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.
- Experience in Playwright is a must for this role.
- Candidates should possess the ability to design, document, and maintain effective Test Cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Manual Testing techniques, including exploratory testing and detailed defect reporting.
- Candidates should possess hands-on experience with QA Automation, including building and maintaining automated test suites and using relevant tools or frameworks.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with SDLC and agile methodologies, plus experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates should possess practical experience with version control systems and issue tracking tools; exposure to CI/CD pipelines and API testing is beneficial.
- A relevant technical degree or equivalent professional experience in software quality assurance or engineering is preferred.
