Cloud Engineer - UAE
About the role
This position is for a Cloud Engineer to join SevenX in the UAE on a 1-year renewable contract, with immediate commencement. The role involves designing, deploying, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure and services, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, managing Azure PaaS services, and contributing to cloud governance and security best practices. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, strong Linux and container technology skills, and be currently based in the UAE. An attractive remuneration package with related perks is offered.
Must have
- Designing, deploying, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
- Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ARM Templates, or similar tools.
- Managing Azure PaaS services, databases, containerized workloads, and Linux configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Contributing to implementation and governance of Landing Zones and security best practices.
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing cloud resources to ensure performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) certification.
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration and container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes fundamentals.
- Understanding of Azure Landing Zones, cloud governance, security controls, and Networking familiarity is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Candidate must be currently based in the UAE.
