IT Engineer
About the role
The IT Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining onsite IT infrastructure, including LAN/WLAN, servers, network, and firewalls, as part of the Colombo Port City Development Project at China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. The role involves providing end-user IT support, resolving technical issues, coordinating with telecom providers, handling CCTV systems and digital office platforms, maintaining IT asset inventory, supporting project offices and accommodation facilities, and guiding the IT Assistant. Candidates should have over 10 years of relevant IT experience and strong knowledge in networking, servers, firewalls, and troubleshooting. The position offers the opportunity to be part of a major development project.
Must have
- 10+ years of relevant IT experience.
- Strong knowledge in networking, servers, firewalls, Windows/Linux systems and troubleshooting.
- Working proficiency in English.
- Ability to work independently under pressure.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering or related field. (Preferred)
- Microsoft certifications & CCNA (Preferred).
