Systems Engineer (VMware / Enterprise Infrastructure)
About the role
DMS Electronics (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Engineer specializing in VMware and enterprise infrastructure. The role involves implementing, supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting mission-critical virtualization and infrastructure environments, with a strong focus on VMware technologies. Key responsibilities include designing, deploying, configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting VMware environments, supporting disaster recovery and business continuity solutions, and providing L2 technical support. Candidates should have 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise systems or virtualization, strong VMware skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Must have
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise systems, virtualization or infrastructure technologies.
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter Server.
- Strong understanding of HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, clusters and VMware lifecycle management.
- Practical experience with backup, disaster recovery, replication and recovery solutions.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication, presentation and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a technical team.
- Self-motivated, customer-focused and committed to continuously learning new technologies.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and work extended hours when required.
Nice to have
- Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) or VMware vSphere Foundation (VVF) will be highly advantageous.
- Knowledge or hands-on experience with Tanzu, vSAN, NSX, VMware Live Recovery, VCF Operations and VCF Automation will be an added advantage.
- Experience with enterprise servers, SAN/NAS storage and data-centre infrastructure will be an advantage.
- Knowledge or experience in Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies will be an advantage.
- Candidates with relevant professional certifications will be preferred.
- VCP – VMware Cloud Foundation 9 Administrator.
- VCP – VMware Cloud Foundation 9 Support.
- Certifications or qualifications in Red Hat, Kubernetes and related enterprise infrastructure technologies will also be considered an advantage.
