Assistant Management Accountant
About the role
The Assistant Management Accountant (Assistant Manager) will be responsible for preparing daily production reports, dashboards, and monthly management reports for a leading tyre manufacturing multinational plant in Kelaniya. The role involves supporting manufacturing general ledger and month-end closing activities, performing product costing and cost absorption analysis, analyzing material, labour, and overhead costs, and conducting variance and cost-per-kg analysis. The position also requires monitoring operational KPIs, providing business insights, and partnering with various departments to improve financial and operational performance. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in a complex accounting environment, a relevant degree, and strong skills in management accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing finance.
Must have
- 3-5 years of experience in a complex accounting environment
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field CA Sri Lanka / CIMA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred
- Strong knowledge of Management Accounting, Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance Experience in financial reporting, KPI management and business performance analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query and financial modelling
- Experience with M3, SAP, Oracle or similar ERP systems
- Strong communication, organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet month-end reporting deadlines
- Continuous improvement and process-oriented mindset

Highlights
The salary for this position is negotiable within the range of 250,000 to 300,000. The role is based in Kelaniya and is with a leading multinational tyre manufacturing company. Professional qualifications such as CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, or ACCA are preferred but not strictly required.
