Backend Software Engineer
About the role
As a Backend Software Engineer at Orfium, you will design, develop, and maintain backend services for the company's B2B products in the global music industry. You will work as part of an Agile team, building scalable and reliable software, participating in technical discussions, and delivering high-quality solutions. The role offers opportunities for learning, ownership, and technical growth, with responsibilities including code review, documentation, and autonomous delivery of complex features. Must have
- 3+ years of working experience in creating and maintaining software systems in production environments with a modern Web Development Framework (e.g. FastAPI, .NET Framework, Django, Ruby on Rails, Laravel, Spring, ExpressJS).
- Experience with object-oriented development (e.g. .NET, C#, Python, Ruby, Java).
- Hands-on SQL experience (preferably with PostgreSQL).
- Write organized and clean code.
- Excellent understanding of Version Control (preferably with Git).
- Understanding of Modern System Architectures, Design Patterns, Data Structures.
- Willingness to continuously learn and become better.
- Ability to work as part of an Agile team.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to have
- Expertise in .NET.
- Expertise in FastAPI Framework.
- Experience in using AI Coding Tools (e.g. Co-pilot, Claude, Cursor)
- Experience with cloud service providers (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience with Docker.
- Experience in monitoring systems (e.g. Datadog)
- Experience with consuming third-party APIs.
- Experience in software development methodologies (e.g. TDD, DDD, BDD).
- Love for music.
