Microsoft Purview Expert – Microsoft Fabric Experience
About the role
AIT Services Australia is looking for a Microsoft Purview Expert with hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience to support client projects on a flexible, part-time, ad hoc basis. The role involves configuring Microsoft Purview for data discovery, cataloguing, classification, and lineage, integrating Azure and Microsoft Fabric data sources, establishing governance practices, supporting Fabric Lakehouses and related technologies, reviewing data security, troubleshooting, and providing technical guidance and documentation. Candidates must have proven experience with Microsoft Purview and Fabric, a strong understanding of metadata and governance, experience with Azure data services, SQL, and Microsoft Entra ID, and the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Payment is based on agreed hourly rates and approved hours worked.
Must have
- Proven implementation experience with Microsoft Purview.
- Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience.
- Strong understanding of metadata, data lineage, classification and governance.
- Experience with Azure data services, SQL and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with Power BI governance, Python, PySpark, PowerShell or REST APIs would be advantageous.
