Intern – Project Manager
About the role
EXE.lk is seeking a motivated and organized individual for the role of Intern – Project Manager. This internship is designed for those interested in software project management and offers hands-on experience working with development teams, clients, and real-world software projects. The intern will assist in planning, coordinating, and tracking software projects, support project managers in maintaining timelines and deliverables, coordinate tasks among teams, assist with client communication, maintain documentation, and participate in meetings and sprint activities. Candidates should be currently pursuing or have recently completed a relevant degree or diploma, possess a basic understanding of project management principles and the software development lifecycle, and demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
Must have
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office / Google Workspace, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced software development environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Nice to have
- Familiarity with project management tools such as ClickUp, Jira, Trello, or similar tools is an advantage

Highlights
This is a paid internship with a monthly allowance. High-performing interns may be considered for an Associate Project Manager or Junior Project Manager position.
